This function returns the probability for the t-distribution.
Syntax
T.DIST(x,deg,cumulative)
Arguments
This function has these arguments:
Argument |
Description |
x |
Numeric value used to evaluate the distribution |
deg |
Number of degrees of freedom to characterize the distribution; if not an integer, the number is truncated |
cumulative |
A logical value that determines the form of the function. If cumulative is TRUE, the function returns the cumulative distribution function; if FALSE, it returns the probability density function |
Remarks
The #VALUE! error value is returned if x or deg are nonnumeric.
Data Types
Accepts numeric data for x and deg arguments. Returns numeric data.
Examples
T.DIST(A1,B45,TRUE)
T.DIST(0.245,2,TRUE)gives the result 1.4146507236438
